Migration from the Caribbean to the United States
WorldPopulationMigration flows from Caribbean states and territories to the United States
UNThe map consists of two data layers: Total Migration from the Caribbean to the United States and Migration from the Caribbean to the United States by Country. The former, symbolized by a single gray arrow, amounts to about 122,000 people. The latter, symbolized by arrows in different shades of blue, is given for each island state or colony. Generally, the larger islands or countries—Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Trinidad, and Tobago—contribute far more migrants, in the thousands per year. The smaller islands supply fewer migrants, ranging from a few dozen to several hundred per year.
